She called and asked if I was awake, which I wasn't, and my Dad woke up and told me to talk. lol. And she asked if I liked amusment parks.
"Sure?"
The week I'm in Wyoming is my step nephews birthay and they want to take him to amusment park, but they wanted to make sure I wanted to go before they planned it, or else they'd do it the week after I left. It's got a water park and everything, so it should be pretty fun. I guess we'd be going up, staying in a hotel and spending a day or two at the park. Sounds like fun. x]
After that we feed the ponehs and went into town. We got feed for the horses.
And to Arby's for lunch.
And then to the mall. I can't believe they have summer clothes on sale already. But it's good I guess, since everything was cheap. lol. I got three shirts for $1.95 each.
I got two of these. One in black with white flowers, and the blue one.
And this in tan. And then I got these skinny jeans.
After a while at the mall we came home, and ate dinner and went to judging pratice. Last one, since the field days is next Tuesday.
Only four of us showed up though. We watched the breeding heifers and breeding gilts classes. I pretty much placed the cows completely wrong, but I got the pigs right, along with everyone else. lol. Then we spent a little time discussing where we are meeting Tuesday and all that.

It's Tomorrow...

The farrier was supposed to come today, but didn't, so hopefully we can reschdule and have Brandy and Tango's hooves done. Speaking of which I got the cutest picture of them today.

Awww.

So anyway, I brought Sheik up the hill and fed him. While he was eating I scrubbed his legs with white bright shampoo. It took me about an hour, but it defintely payed off, because he was very clean by the time I was done. Then I washed off his neck and white spots, and scrubbed them too. After that I attached the Mane N Tail stuff to the hose and gave him a bath using that. While he tried I brushed out his mane and tail, and was going to band him, but he wasn't being good at all for that. So I just sprayed a ton of show sheen and fly spray all over him, and then I put his sleezy on, so his mane will be nice and flat. Hopefully he'll be clean tomorrow in the morning!

A Day To Go

Well today was...intersting.

It rained this morning, but it didn't last too long, and the rest of the day was nice and dry.
We clipped Sheik this morning whil he was eating. That works the best. lol. We touched up his feet and his ears, and then I did his whiskers and his chin. He was a very good boy, just as good as he was last time.

The rest of the afternoon was pretty dull, we made cookies, and I watched tv.

And then I worked with Sheik tonight, like always. Long story short, puppy got stepped on, puppy cried, Sheik spooked, Sheik kicked, I got hurt, he ran up the hill, he's favoring his back left leg a little.
=/

There's no heat or swelling and he wasn't limping, just kind of favoring a little. Hopefully it'll be completely better tomorrow, but I'm a litte, or rather, a lot afraid that it'll be worse and he'll be lame. And then there would go Friday...but hopefully it'll just be completely better.

And as for me...I'm going to have a very big bruise tomorrow and probably a very big scar.

Can't Believe it's already this far into June

I am still thinking about changing my blog...but haven't decided on what colors I want to use, or what 'theme'.

Anyway today I finished cleaning up my room. I picked everything up off the floor and did some major vacuming. I also tossed a lot of stuff out. It looks pretty good.

And then me and mom watched the movie The Notebook.

And then we went into town for the fairboard meeting, but we found out, once we were three of course, that it was canceled because I guess two of the members are on cruises in Alaska? o.o

So we stopped at the store and got chocolate and came home and ate dinner.

That's about it. It was pretty slow.

Soo.

I feel like changing my blog around again...maybe doing something summer 'y. I don't know yet.

Anyway this morning I put ALL of my music [minus a few songs I don't like] onto my MP3 player. 345 songs. I honestly expected to have a lot more. lol. And there's still about half of the room left, so it'll fit a few more cds. =]

And I rode Brandy. She was okay...not great though. She really didn't want to settle down. I tried riding her on a loose rein, but that lasted about three seconds. Honestly sometimes I think she'd make a better english horse then western. =p

I also worked with Sheik tonight. I think the working every single night for around a half an hour or longer is starting to pay off. He's sososososo much more willing to do things, and Idk, I just feel like our bond has gotten even stronger. He lets me catch him no problem and is just really awesome. He's not trying to run around like a manic, he's only doing it when i say, and he stops when I tell him. And he's pretty much setting up on his own when we stop. I also have been just standing with him while he's set up to help teach him some patience, since that's what we have so much trouble with in the ring. I hope it helps.

Rain Rain...

It was raining this morning and I guess it rained all night. I love it when it rains at night, it helps me sleep.
But I had to wake up early.

We went to the Air Force Base. My dad took the car to get the tires done and me and my mom walked around the exchange for...a long time. I got a new pair of brown jeans to show in. They look a LOT better then the blue jeans. It matches really well too.

I also got a new MP3 player. =] My old one only held around 40 songs and this one is supposed to hold over 600 [I've only got 55 on it so far, since it's all I had on the laptop] I also got OneRepublic's cd 'Dreaming Out Loud" which is a really good cd. And it has Apologize on it.

We also ate at the chinese place. They had my favorite kind of chicken.

Then we got lost. lol, looking for one of the shopette's at the base. It's kind of funny, my parents, especially my Dad, have been around bases for over 20 years, and yet, we seem to get lost anytime we go on one. We did eventually find it though. XD

On the way home it had pretty much stopped raining. One of the parks in town though was completly flooded. I've never seen it flood like that. That was pretty much the worst I saw though, there's some puddles and various ponds that have now become lakes. Our road is also really bad too.

When we came home my sleezy had come. The mail deliverer had put the box into a plastic bag and hung it on the mailbox, but by the time we got home it was laying in a puddle.
I tried it on him when I feed. Honestly i did not expect him to be very good. lol. But he was extremely good and patient about it. Even though it took me like...ten minutes just to get it on over his ears. XD He looks adorble in it too. =]

My dad saide he looks like a ninja. Probably not.

I worked with Sheik. He was okay. He was really good at first, then had a little 'episode' where he like, bolted. I held onto him though, and then he was okay, so I finished grooming him. Then I turned him out. I think I needed it though. I'd noticed last night that my eyes looked pretty bloodshot and puffy. It had been a pretty crazy week though.

I was planning on riding Brandy, but as soon as I got up to get my saddle and stuff, my Dad said we were going to walmart. So I went along, since it wasn't like I could stay and ride while they went shopping. We got some really awesome tasting strawberries and pizza for dinner.

When we got home it was on the later side and time for dinner. And I had another headache. Third day in a row. I'm not sure if it's just my sinuses, because that happens after I have a really bad cold sometimes, or if there's gonna be more storms or something. IDK. Tyenol works great though.

I worked with Sheik. He was a lot better. Partly because I brought out the fly spray. He stood really nicely while I groomed him, but he did not want to lead at first. He was better after a few minutes though. And we trotted a lot, which he loves. He's getting a lot better about stopping from a trot and just automatically setting up. I also spen some time just holding him and making him stand still while he's set up, since thats the problem we usually have in the ring.

So...

It stormed last night...pretty hard I guess. The wind was really bad too. Everything on the back porch was blown over. But that was pretty much the only damage.

I did some random chores and put my saddle and hat and stuff away.

And I made peanut butter finger bar cookies. They turned out pretty goo.

I worked with Sheik when I feed. He waasn't very good. The flies were pretty bad, and he didn't want to stand still. Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow.

And the sleezy shipped today, so hopefully I'll get it Monday or Tuesday.

It's finally the weekend.

June Fifth

We went to the feed store today. I looked for a banding comb, but I couldn't find one there, so I'll have to look for one at a different feed store. I did get Sheik some feed called "Win - place - show" I'll just be feeding it to him. It'd be great if it makes a difference for him.
I also want to get some leather shine spray. We used some at Rendi's and it works amazingly well.

We came home, and I had a really bad headache, from the storms coming tonight. So I layed around for a while, and then I remembered to take some tyenol, which took quite a while to kick in but finally it did and I feel much better now.

My parents took gave our three puppies, Charlie, Oscar and Snowball, a bath and then took them to the auction to try to give them away. They did find Charlie a home, where he'll be with goats. He should be very happy. And we still have Snowball and Oscar.

I worked with Sheik tonight. He didn't come up the hill, so I went down with the brushes, and since he was out in teh far end of the pasture, I called him, and he came loping over to me. <333
I brushed him. He stood still the whole time, which is pretty much amazing. After I finished brushing him I set him up and worked on pivots a little, but he wasn't real willing, so I didn't press it too much. After that I did a few showmanship courses and then trotted him quite a bit, because that's what he likes the most.

Crazy last three days

Monday -

I clipped Sheik first thing in the morning. My mom did his legs, which we had never clipped before. He was great about it. He didn't like one of the back feet being done at first, but then he was fine. Then I did his whiskers, which he was awesome about. Usually he doesn't like it, because it tickles, but he was really good about it. Then I did his chin and we touched up his bridle path and ears.
I went inside and put everything into the truck and went back out to catch Sheik. We loaded him pretty easily and headed to Pam's.
I unloaded him and put him in a stall with a pen there, and then after a little while I brought him out and gave him a bath. He was pretty awful about it, as always. It took me quite a while though too, because I SCRUBBED every single white spot. He was extremely clean. I let him try and then sprayed show sheen all over him to keep the dust off and put him back in the stall. I came out a little while later and he was rolling. >.< But he stayed clean.
After that my mom left and I ended up banding Sadie's mane. lol, none of us knew how to do it, or had ever done it before, but I ended up doing it. It looked alright, but they wouldn't stay down.
We put Sadie back after putting show sheen all over her and Cash.
After that Vikki left and me, Rendi and Andreya went into the house and started cleaning tack. Boots, saddles, halters and bridles. We used ketchup on the silver. We were really skeptical about it, but Pam told us too, so we did it anyway. It seemed to work. lol, if nothing else it didn't turn it red! XD
Then Vikki came back with pizza, chips and gatorade, and we spent a while eating and just chilling out.
After that we played with their puppies, and then me and Rendi fed all the horses, since it was starting to get dark. We watered everyone and then went inside and finished cleaning the tack, then sprayed tack polish all over them to make them shine.
I had a terrible sunburn, and I was wearing a tank top so a lot of me had burned. It hurt. It still hurts. XD
We had to get the hay in the dark though, because we had forgotten.
Then we came in for the night.
I took a shower, since I had hay all over me and a ton of dirt on my legs and arms. Then we watched tv and finally figured out who was sleeping where, when Pam came home from work and we all ended up eating again. lol. So then we finally did all manage to get some sleep.

Tuesday - Pam woke us up at five am. I changed and ran out to feed Sheik. Pam said she was going to feed him, but wasn't sure how much to give him. So I fed him, with Andreya's help. Just when I'd finished feeding him Vikki showed up with the trailer. Rendi, Andreya and I started loading up all of the stuff into the trailer. Hay, tack, brushes, show clothes, etc. And then once we had everything in, we got the horses. They loaded Cash and Sadie first, in the front of the trailer, and then I loaded Sheik in the back. He'd never been in a stock trailer before, or in fact, any other trailer but ours, but once Rendi shook a little grain for him he went right in. And we all got in the truck and took off....
....just to realize we needed gas. So we stopped at the Love's station, and while they got gas the rest of us ran in. Me and Rendi got gatorade and poptarts for breakfast. Then we finally got back on the road. We met my mom, Hannah and Karen at a different gas station. And Andreya decided she wanted to ride with them so it was just me, Rendi, Vikki and Pam. And we headed on our 'short cut'.
The town where the show is was two hours away. So we should have gotten there at eight. Which would have been great. You HAD to be checked in by eight thirty, and the show started at nine, and we were in the first class.
However, when we realized, at 8:15, and weren't even close to being there, that we were not going to make it in time. So Vikki calls Travis, our extension agent, who was there for some reason. She told him that we were on the way and to check us in our do SOMETHiNG. Which at first I guess, he wasn't real willing, because Vikki was like "Travis, I have been up since four am, there are three horses in the trailer, and they are jumping aroundevery time there is a semi truck, I have to go to the bathroom - DO NOT MESS WITH ME."
And surprise....he checked us in!
XD
So anyway, we finally made it to the town, and saw signs for the arena, which brought on a lot of cheering and clapping. We finally got there at NINE. We were in the third class. So Rendi and I ran to get changed into our show outfits and our mom's got the horse's out and started grooming them.
And we did amazingly, make it in time. Barely.
I was last in the ring, and Sheik was pretty good...he wouldn't set up at the beginning, but he trotted, and he was pretty good standing still...He would have been better, but Cash, Rendi's horse was pretty upset and he'd move, and so would Sheik. He did stand for the judge though.
And we placed sixth out of eighth. Which is pretty good. And we qualifed for state, which is in two weeks.

Then between halter and showmanship I had an hour or so. So I put baby powder all over Sheik's white spots. it worked best on his nose, it took his dirty sunburned nose and made it white. <333
This one kid's Dad came over and asked me how old Sheik was, then guessed three, and I said yes he was, and he said that his kid's horse was three too. And then said that Sheik still had a lot of growing and filling out to do, like his kid's horse. Then the kid brought his horse over near Sheik because he wanted to see how much taller Sheik was. About three or four inches. XD As he was leading his over I was like "I think my horse is going to be taller." XD
Then the Dad saw Sheik had two glass eyes and said that that was pretty rare, and asked if he had any trouble seeing, which he doesn't. But I know that is a fairly common problem in horse's with two glass eyes like that. Glass eyes is another word for blue.

Showmanship...went well...he wasn't great, and didn't pivot of course, but I expected that. he stood nicely though. We got last though, because of course everyone else was really good, because they had their really exprienced horses, and they've probably been showing since they were five.

Despite that, we still qualifed for state in that class too.

After that, I put his normal halter on him, and loaded him back up in the trailer with hay and water and came back in to check on him after every few classes. He was an extemely good sport about it.

We went to watch Rendi do trail, which went okay. For one thing Cash is huge. Which doesn't help in trail. They almost got the gate, and the box, they stood no chance, he couldn't do it even if he wanted too. The bridge freaked him out too, but he did alright otherwise.

Then we watched Andreya do WP. [western pleasure] She did pretty well. Sadie was REALLY loping though. I mean ears back, flying. And Andreya had to hold onto the horn. At another point Sadie decided she was done, and headed for the gate, but Andreya did good with her.

Then Rendi's WP class was next. She was doing really well Cash, until they started loping. Her hat fell off, but she manage to catch it. She was riding two handed though, so she's loping with her hat in one hand, trying to hold onto the reins. Then Cash has like, a freak out, and she loses a stirrup. She got it back though, came past where we were sitting and tossed the hat up towards us, and we almost got it, but it hit the rail and bounced back down. And then she was disqualifed because your hat is not allowed to touch the ground.

She skipped out on horsemanship. We watched it though, and it was extremely hard.
Then we unloaded Sheik and loaded Cash and Sadie in the front. Sheik did not want to load up again, and it took us several tries, but we finally got him to go in.

And we headed back out on the road, after stopping for ice cream. We took the normal route home, much faster. We were almost back to Rendi's when the tack room door thing on the trailer opened. Rendi climbed through the truck window and into the back of the truck and shut it. Then we finally got back to Rendi's. We unloaded the horses and put them back, inculding Sheik. And then moved everything back into our own trucks. Then my mom got there and we were going to hitch up the trailer and take Sheik home, but after how hard it was to get him in after the show, I was pretty much sure he wouldn't do it, and Pam said it would be no big deal to leave him there another night. So we did.

Today -
We had to wait for fedx to come, and then we went back to Rendi's to get Sheik. Jacob helped us back up the truck to the trailer and he and mom hitched the trailer up, and then we loaded Sheik, who knew he was going home and was more then ready to do so. He went right in. When we got home I unloaded him and he was heading for the gate, with or without me. I let him out in the pasture and he went trotting down the hill to find Easter.
Then tonight I groomed him and worked on pivots a little.

We also spent a while talking about show outfits. I want to get a pair of brown show pants, I think it'll look a lot better with my shirt and hat and everything. I feel like my jeans are cheapening my outfit a ton, and I think the show pants will help a lot.

I also got him a sleezy today. =] I got it on ebay for twenty dollars, which is really good. This way I can band his mane and it'll lay flat. it will also keep his neck and face cleaner. It's hunter green. =D I also want to get him a hunter green halter and lead one of these days, just for shows and going nice places. So I was trying to get enough enegery to get up and let Sheik out when I heard them come. So I like ran down the hall to change into jeans and boots. I didn't even bother doing my hair.

And of course, Sheik wasn't out, so I had to run down and switch everyone around and bring him up. He was pretty bratty too, but he got up there. And he was pretty good...and man, those puppies LOVED the hoof trimmings, I've never seen a dog get so excited about them, they were actually fighting. XD

So then he asked if we wanted Easter done, because we only planned on doing Sheik. But I'm REALLY glad, because her's looked SO bad, I felt awful. She's looking a lot better though. She's lost a lot of her winter coat and has gained a lot of weight. Her knee is bothering her a lot though. When they were trying to do her other leg, she kept picking up her bad one like "Here, take this foot." lol, but we got them done and they look GREAT.

Then we clipped Sheik. He was a good boy. =D we did his ears and his bridle path, which look really good, especially his ears, I love how it looks. And when I'm feeling better I will do his legs and chin.

After we got that far in clipping, I started feeling so bad, like I could hardly stand, so I asked my mom if I could go in and lay down and she said it was okay. =]

So that's basically what I did for the rest of the day, I slept quite a bit and watched tv.

I didn't eat anything all day, because my throat felt so bad, but after I ate dinner I felt a lot better.

Then we feed again and I didn't feel too bad till we were almost done.

And now I'm actually feeling pretty decent. My throat feels a lot better...i hope it lasts. I'm really hoping this cold goes as fast as it came....

STORMS

So last night me and my brother stayed up till we had to leave for the airport, at three. We watched like, a lot of the Big Bang Theory on his computer that he had downloaded. Then we all left at 3:00.It was storming REALLY badly. There was more lightening then I think I've seen in my entire life, and it POURED for a while. I got some sleep in the car, and then we got the airport and found the right gate and everything. We said good bye to my brother and watched him go through security, then we stopped at McDonalds for a quick breakfast and came home at six to find we had no power.

So I went to bed and got two hours or so of sleep, but my cold woke me up. I was going to go get up and go online, since I have a laptop that still had battery, even though the power was still out, but my internet wasn't working, so that didn't.

By one the internet STILL hadn't come on so we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. We were hoping it would be on when we got home, but it still wasn't. It came on about an hour later.

And I'm sick. So it'll work out just fine. =]

Then we watched an NCIS marathon and fed, then came in and talked to my brother on the phone, since he gets here tomorrow night.

Horse Club.

Didn't really do anything this morning besides math and feeding.

We feed early at like, fourish, and then came in and got ready to go. We had to stop at Walmart first to get cat food.

Then we got lost going to one of the member's house, where the meeting was. The 'normal' were there. I gave my first aid speech thing, and it was okay. I spent a while this morning looking for the stuff on first aid, because I was going to give it last month, but didn't, because no one showed up really, and of course that was a month ago. I did find it though.

Then we talked about ideas for taking care of horse's cuts and swelling and things like that.

And then our leader showed us how to do pulse and heart beat and gut sounds and stuff on one of the member's horses. It ended up being about three hours long.

I'm on the comitee for the clinic we are doing this fall...not to excited to do that, but hey, it will look good on record books. I also want to take Sheik to that clinic, because I like taking pictures of him and it's good exprience for him. By that time, since it'll be fall, he might be able to be used as a demo horse, idk, we'll just have to see.

Anyway next is District horse show.

Oh.

"If I had to choose between playing a song that not a whole lot of people know that I could get behind, or the opposite, I'll choose the lesser-known every time," Cook told The Associated Press backstage Tuesday.

I really liked that. =] It was in article I was reading.

And The Winner Of American Idol Is David...

COOK.

Shocking, right? We talked to him for a few minutes.

We went to the dollarstore to get soda, and to our feed store to get new baby goat bottles, since our others are gone [thanks to the cats and dogs]. Finally a new Switchfoot Podcast. It's been since like...Febuary. XD

Anyway the rest of my day was once again somewhat boring. I got up on the early side. It's been really hot the last few days so we get up earlier so we can feed while it's still somewhat cool. We let the horses out and then one of my mom's friend's came to pick up one of our baby goats, Pansy. She bought two of our baby goats last year and wanted another one.

Then I ate lunch and did a little math. And then I got my 4H newsletter [Finally!] It was pretty short though. A thing about OSU field days [yay] and round up [I'll be in Wyoming it looks like, so it's the perfect excuse not to go. I'd much rather go see my sister and Switchfoot anyway] and then the day camps. There's only two, and I'll probably go to at least one of them to help up [probably candle making, though none of them sound very exciting]. And the teen leaders, which sounds like it will be pretty cool and I plan on trying out for. And then 4H Royalty which is a new thing. I wish they'd had a little more info on the fund raising part of it... Lot's to think about and lot's to hopefully get to do in the next three months. =]

After that I watched the next to last episode of Wildfire. Pretty intersting and pretty good, but it's amazing how unrealistic it can be when it comes to the horses on that show. I mean the horse Wildfire is like...five, has broken his leg [like twice] and been retired, and suddenly they decide "Oh we need to race him one more time!" Oh please. The rest of it was good though.

Then dinner was really good and we fed early to be back inside in time for NCIS and American Idol. American Idol was good...but you can tell exactly who they want the winner to be, and they are trying very hard to sway it in their direction, which really annoys me. It's like what they did with Syesha, giving her not so good songs and harsh critiques.
Now they are doing it with David Cook. They want David Archuletta win. I agree that DavidA sounded really good tonight, but I don't think he 'won' the night by any means. David Cook was JUST as good, and yet he was getting harsher critiques.
But oh well. I already know that DavidA is going to end up the winner.
Why?
Because DavidA is cute and innocent and adorable which the teenage girls [under fourteen] are all crazy over and they are going to vote 35,9999 times tonight, which people who like David Cook are older and less likey to do that. But probably for career's sake, DavidA is better off winning. It's just right for him, and for the image American Idol wants.
David Cook will do just as well, or even better, as runner up, just like Daughtry did coming in first.

Another Day.

Not to much today either...

I did more math. It was those 3ab + 87x + 5ab + 4x = ? type questions, which once I realized what it was I did pretty well on. I got an 100 on the first quiz. So that brought up my average a little. =] I also should be done right about Friday, which is pretty awesome! Finally done with tenth grade! Only two more years to go. =D

Then later we got KFC for dinner which was pretty good. and then we had Cherry limeade sherbert for desert.

I didn't really do much else. It was really hot today. It's finally starting to feel like summer. Which is good/bad. On one hand I have a lot going on this summer, but on the other hand it means its really hot out and there's a lot of BUGS.

And I REALLY want these shoes. They just need to go on sale. XD though they aren't that bad for converse at ALL. Most of the pairs I've looked at are like...sixty dollars. Actually what I need is to have a birthday sooner. And then I came in and finished watching the Switchfoot podcasts [it only took me three days! xD] and then I did a little bit of math and ate lunch.

Then we fed on the earlier side and I had some trouble getting the horses to come into feed, but eventually they did. And then I came in and watched the ACM awards. Pretty much everyone won the same awards as last year. XD Brad Paisley is still male vocalist, Carrie Underwood is still female vocalist and Taylor Swift is now the new female vocalist of the year. Jack Ingram won male vocalist of the year which I think is pretty cool. He's been in the music buiness for fifteen years though, so it's a little late coming, but hey, better late then never I guess. XD

Also less then a week till my brother gets home. I also think I have horse club this week...

A Night At The Races

After a lazy morning/early afternoon of watching more Switchfoot Podcasts, we fed at like...three. The horses were already down there so it was pretty easy. Then I came in and changed and we went to OKC. We went to the base first, for dinner at Burger King [cookie dough pie. <33] and then into the exchange [which is like walmart on the base. lol. without the food...] to get my Dad's father's day gift, [early apparently] and then to Remington Park. The parking lot was FULL. Of course, after several minutes of watching small children and their parents walking to the cars, that they were actually parking there and going to the zoo, not the track. XD So anyway we didn't have to walk to the stands though, we got to go on the bus. XD Pretty awesome. And then we watched the horses being saddled and found our seats. We only watched two races. The first one we picked number eight to win [but did not bet] and sure enough number eight won! So for the second race, after watching them getting saddled, we decided to go for it and bet two dollars. Which we d id on...number eight, which wasn't the horse we liked. LOL, so we went back and bet another two dollars on number nine, which is the one we liked. Though we did like number ten a lot, because of his name 'I Run Real Fast'. XD
So then we sat down and waited for the race. This one was short, lol, I barely remember any of it, only number nine, who's name escapes me, coming down the stretch and taking the lead! It was a photo finish between 9 and 10. ANd nine won! So yep, we got about...twenty dollars. lol. XD Then to our surprise number eight, who, btw was actually the favorite, had placed third! So we got another four dollars. Pretty sweet. IT was an aweosme race too. And then it was getting dark and there's a very long gap between the races, so we left. We did stop at Braums to get ice cream on the way home though. ^.^
So yep, pretty cool. <3

Well...

Okay so today was pretty boring, other then working with my ponyface.

Sooo...

Well these are hilarous http://youtube.com/watch?v=yf-WQ5Ou_g8
That one happens to have a few clips from the concert I went too. It's not our fault that we live out in the middle of no where on a very bad dirt road. And it is *their* job to come out, no matter where people love.
Yet...it amazes me that they LIE about it.
Okay so Fedex was the first problem. They said that they came and we weren't home, and yet, we hadn't left the house all day?
The second was our friends at DHL. They don't have directions, they couldn't get here. Alright. So my mom calls and leaves them directions AND her cell phone number, so they can call. They come. The next time...they used that excuse again. And then the next day they used it again.
And now UPS, which until today, was our last hope, is now saying that our road was inpassable, yet we all got down it just fine?
Not to mention that fact that we have two very scary big dogs that like to chase away the driversy. ^.^
Oh well, by the time they actually get here, they deserve to have their car chased. XD

So yes, that is actually sort of going somewhere. XD So today was like, free sandwhich day at McDonalds and me and my mom planned on going to the store anyway, so we figured we'd wait for UPS to come, and then go to the store. Usually UPS comes around...ten am. Not to bad, right? Well around two, were finally decided that they were probably not coming.
So we called...and he says that there was a semi broken down on our road...? Right. So they obviously we aren't coming, so we went to the Wal-mart to get dog food. There were saw Travis, our 4H extension agent person, and we talked to him for a few minutes, then got the dog food and ran into McDonalds to get our "lunch" [I mean, it's only three o clock at that point. =p] and SHOCKINGLY it took like...five minutes to get it. Usually our McDonalds takes like...half an hour to get our food. XD So we brought it home and ate.

For the rest of the what was left of the afternoon I spent looking around on youtube. It's amazing what you find. XD For instance, I found out there was a Switchfoot video that they made...but never released. So I guess that rather then Stars, when they recorded the cd Nothing Is Sound they intended on release Happy Is A Yuppie Word as a single, but the record company [which they dropped not to recently, and let me tell you they are doing a LOT better with Columbia Records] but yeah so anyway they actually made a video for that song along with Lonely Nation, I am told, but I've yet to find that video.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=HQAz4OD2oe8
Happy Is A Yuppie Word. So it's actually a kind of strange video [XD] kinda what they ended up doing for the Stars video. But it's all good. ^.^

Then we feed...I fed the silly poneh's and spent a while playing around with Sheikers, who has a nickname of Ponyface. XD

And then into watch LOST. Almost time for the season finale. And I'm guessing, since it's two hours, it's gonna be good. ^.^ I also think that next season is the last...?

David Cook

Okay, so he was already my favorite to win American Idol. And then later on today me and Dad took her out for dinner at the chinese resturant. We used to eat there all the time, but then at New Years when we went to eat there [we like, always eat chinese on New Years] and they were closed. But we noticed last week they were open again! So we went today. It's been renovated and is a lot nicer, and we said something to our waitress who said that it was under new ownership. The food is just as good as it was before though. =] And then we got our fortune cookie. I don't really remember what mine said. LOL. I did drop the cookie in my soda though...O.o

Afterwards we went to the mall real quick, and I got a new pair of shoes that were on sale at sears. Shoes.

And that was basically my day. I spent a while looking around online for jeans and I found a pair of skinny jeans I really want to buy from Target and I'm thinking about buying them... here they are. Skinny Jeans.

Just a little tired?

Last night was the SE District 4H lockin. It was pretty cool. I got there pretty early [well first of all I spent the afternoon procastenting getting ready and then we went over to one of the neighbors to say hello. And then to Taco Bell to "feed me"] and was one of the first people there. So mostly I stood around for a few minutes. And then my friend got there, along with her school 4H club, who, made sure I had snacks and everything else. The first thing we did was 'ice breakers' which consisted of breaking us into four groups [so we don't cliquely, I suppose. XD]
and all introduce ourselves [do you know how many times I introduced myself last night?!?]
Anyyway then what we did was stand in a circle and grab someone else's hands so were all stuck and kinda tangled up. lol, then we had to try to 'unknot' ourselves. The first time we couldn't do it, the second time we did, and we were the only group to do it. It was kinda weird though. XD

Then we had to listen to the 4H state president talk about goals [the apparent theme of the night]. And then we broke into groups of four. I was in with my friend and two of her friends from school. They gave us a piece of paper and a pair of siscors. Told us to fold the paper in half and then cut on [on the folded side] a 'door'. [signifying that a small door is what it seems like to have an impossible dream?] Then we had to cut more of it out for different '4H oppurtinties' and when we were done and unfolded it we had a hole [or a door. =p] big enough that we could well, at least stand it in. XD

The next workshop [or whatever you'd like to call it] was 4H Who Wants to Be a Millioniare. Which, if you won, you get a whole twenty dollars. [well it's not a million, but hey, it's still cash.]
We only had time for a few though. But one kid won.

And then instead of 'are you smarter then extension agent' [-snicker-] we had 4H jepordry, very exciting. XD I didn't play because, I don't vounteer. XD

After that...4h fear factor. Which was probably one of the more fun things I guess. First we got a piece of paper with different fears on it, like "Afraid of meeting new people" or heights, snakes, spiders, etc. And we had to find two people for each thing. [of course this had nothing to do with fears, but so we'd actually talk to people. =p] Then we 'discussed' different fears. For instance, when she asked if anyone was really shy, my friend had to stare at me. XD [I'm not shy, for the record, more like, afraid of not being liked. So maybe it counts as the same thing. Idk.] So then she asked if I'd talked to anyone and made me point out the people I had talked too. [nothing like getting pointed out in the middle of a group, eh?]

And snack [it's ten at this point.]. It was hotdogs, so that doesn't count as a snack really, does it? I ate chips. I sat with a like a ton of very noisey people. XD I don't think any of us really ate, becasue we were laughing wayy to hard.
Then back into oh ever so present groups.
We had to write down our name, county and 4H project areas, and then we had to stand up and read ours to everyone [the name again!!!] And then we had to crunch our pieces of paper into a ball, go stand up and throw them at each other [oh I won't go there. =p]
And then we had to pick one, stand in a circle [seriously what is up with the circle thing?!?!] and then we had to read them and point out the person we thought we'd got. Haha, it was easy for cause I'd been sitting next to the guy who's paper I got. =p
And then we had to do a handwriting anyalze [why? Beyond me.] but according to mine, I was tired [Ha! That one was right. XD] and that I'm a confident bold person. [I wish.]
Anyway that part was really short. And then we had to do a collage of sorts of uh favorite stuff, from magazines. By the time I got up there there was no magazines left except for like, home decor stuff. lol. So I drew it and spent the rest of the time [they made us sit at tables with people we didn't know] talking with the other two people at my table.

And then public speaking. That wasn't that exciting. lol. [it's 11:30, I can't say I was really that...awake.] The guy talking about it was pretty funny though. He told us a story about this time he was playing gutiar in front of people, and he forgot to breathe, and his legs started going out, and all the sudden everyone started clapping because they thought he was dancing. XD

So when we got to the last workshop [yay! XD] the guy giving the record book talk [who was at district speech and is like the district sectary or something] asked "What did you guys learn in the last class?"
And my friend says "To breathe"
And then this other girl says "Not to fall!"
It was hilarous, because the kid giving his class just started at us, like 'what?'
So I was like "I think that counts as breathing."
I still don't think that guy ever really understand what we were talking about it. XD So anyway he talked about record books then made us divide into groups of four [again with the groups. Are we seeing a pattern? Circles and groups. XD] Anyyway and we couldn't be with anyone in our county. So I ended up being paired up with two guys, because my friend didn't want to be in that group. And thank goodness she went with the other group. XD They got fabrics and fashions. [and from what we overheard, they were planning ideas about hobos and fashion. O.o as the one guy in my group says "I'm sure the hobos will apperciate that a lot." =p] We got public speaking which was actually pretty cool cause by the time we scribbled in all the different contests like, district and county and state, etc, we only had to come up with like three ideas. Then we had to read one of our ideas in front of the group. [and if your wondering, the other group with my friend did not say hobos...instead it was holding a cute baby contest and donating the money to the homeless. See a theme there too?]
Sooo finally we were done, it was midnight. And we were all laying out our sleeping bags and I guess, still talking about Hobos. O.o
And then we all had to go to bed. And watched Apollo 13 [intersting] and I fell asleep for a while but woke up an hour or so later and realized that the girl on my left was snoring and my friend was talking in her sleep. i did fall asleep eventually and woke up about sevenish. And then we had biscuits and gravvy for breafkast [Gag. But I guess when your in south you get a good ole' southern breakfast?] and because it ended kinda early, I rode on the bus halfway home with my friends, to the gas station [the only one between here and there] and my parents [who were already on there way] picked me up there.

And if you actually read all that...wow. XD [because I'm still trying to figure out why I just wrote all that. XD]

Fairboard meeting

I did my math pretty early today...before I went out to feed. I did much better on it this time. I got a B, which is defintely an improvement. XD I should be able to finish my math pretty quickly as long as I can keep up doing a chapter everyday or so.

And then I went out and brushes ponehs. He was much easier to catch today. =D And he was pretty good while I brushed him. He was a pain when I wanted to worm him though, but I did it. XD I also brushed Easter, who is shedding like crazy, and then my mom brushed Brandy while I did Sheik. And talk about shedding like crazy. We also wormed both of the mares.

We went to the fairboard meeting tonight. We went to a lot of the one's last year. And despite our attempts, they haven't learned from their mistakes. Last year they couldn't get a carnival because they wait to late. They should have gotten one MONTHS ago. But surprise surprise, they are still trying to find one. And bigger surprise...they are all booked! -rollseyes-
They also are always trying to regulate the livestock show even more. Last year it was making the animals have scrapies tags [which is part of NAIS. Which is bad. >.<] and this year it's making us wear 'offical dress' which I think is a complete joke. Why can't we just wear 'appoiate clothing'? A long sleeve shirt with a collar tucked in. That sounds totally resonable to me. But no we have to wear A. Our 4h or FFA jacket [which, fyi, is about 60 dollars, at least for 4h] or B. wear a white long sleeved collared shirt with a 4h patch. Idk, I probably shouldn't be as mad about it as I am, but first it feels like they are stealing any bit of indivaulity we have, making us all wear the same things. Okay, I realize we'll still be able to pick out our own boots and belts but it still makes me mad. And second, I wish they'd realize that the only reason any of us come to the fair for the livestock show. And that we want to just have fun and chill out. And I hate that they are trying to turn it into some...big show or something by regulating the heck of it.
It also annoys/amazes me how these people are so STUBBORN. I mean...it's amazing. Have the last few years not proved that they are DOING. SOMETHING. WRONG?
I just don't get it. It seems SO obvious to me. First of all plan the carnival a year in advance. Then try to get some actual attractions. Food. Get good food, like corndogs and cotton candy and fresh squeezed lemonade. Sorry, but the kids that are gonna go on the carnival do not want to go eat indian tacos. =p They want JUNK FOOD. Ugh.
I could go on, but I will spare you. XD Plus my fingers are getting tired.

When it Rains, it pours and...storms a lot.

Even with really sore teeth, I slept really well...till around five in the morning when it started storming. And one of them says "I know, we can put wires on their teeth and tighten them! And we'll call them braces."
Of course that was a little over dramatic, but when I go to the other orthodontist I feel like I'm about to walk into a tunnel of doom or something. XD
It doesn't actually hurt at the orthodontist...about five hours later when I'm home. Now i have extremely sore teeth and a very sore cheek, because the brackets are cutting it up. So lovely. =/

Anyway after the orthodontist we went to the used book store...I couldn't find any of the ones I wanted. We also went to walmart to get my mom's prescription and ended up sitting there for 45 minutes. Doncha just LOVE Walmart? >.<

When we came home it was sorta raining, so I didn't get a chance to work any of the horses, but I hope tomorrow, if it doesn't rain again. I like rain at night...just not during the day.

This Is Home

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w113DMTpAec
=]
I've got my memories
They're always Inside of me
But I can't go back
Back to how it was
I believe it now
I've seen too much
But I can't go back
Back to how it was
Created for a place
I've never known

[Chorus:]
This is home
Now I'm finally
Where I belong
Where I belong
Yeah, this is home
I've been searching
For a place of my own
Now I've found it
Yeah, this is home
Yeah, this is home

Belief over misery
I've seen the enemy
And I won't go back
Back to how it was
And I've got my heart
Set onWhat happens next
I've got my eyes wide
And it's not over yet
We are miracles
And we're not alone

(Chorus)

And now after all
My searching
After all my questions
I'm gonna call it home
I've got
A brand new mindset
I can finally see
The sunset
I'm gonna call it home

(Chorus)

Now I know
Yeah, this is home
I've come too far
No, I won't go back
This is home

=D

Today was a pretty awesome day. =]

We went to the base, which is always pretty fun. We ate the chinese place...I got orange chicken that was like REALLY sweet. XD We also did a lot of shopping. I like, barely fit in the car after we got all the food in. I looked at shoes but couldn't find any liked except for these ones with strawberries. XD They were cute but wayy to girlyy for me.
And we came home and I feed the poneh's. Sheikers was such a good boyy, he came up without me having to go chase after him, though I did have to go chase after Brandi. We've decided to turn him out by himself and put Brandi in with Easter and Tango...at least till after the state show.
And I found a shirt I really want to buy online. =] Shirt.
And I also found out Switchfoot has a new single. I couldn't sleep hardly at all last night, so I'm hoping I have better luck tonight.

Today was horse club, my night to speak of course. I felt okay, but I talked about hackamores, and really none of the kids seemed to care. Only the adults and two of my friends listened. It was pretty cold, and everyone was really hyper.

I've also been reading a lot more lately...re reading the Love Comes Softly books by Janette Oke. Lately I've really been wanting to read "A Gown Of Spanish Lace." again. It's probably my favorite Janette Oke book, and possibly my favorite book, in general.
I don't own it...and only one of the libaries, the one I only use twice a year when I want to read this book has it. We had around 13 entrats which we thought was pretty awesome for our first show. We also had a seller and a "real" Judge.
Everything went very smoothly though, though I feel like I did more walking then I do at a real horse show! I took...twelve models I think, and I placed with nearly all of them in just about every class. I came away with a ton of ribbons, inculding two reserve champions. I also got a few door prizes and little things for being in the show.
Hanging out with my friends of course, was one of the most fun things.
Lunch was a little intersting. XD.
First of all of us ran down the road to see if the Boomerang Cafe was open, since it was a Saturday. I realized I cannot run for very long anymore. lol. Of course it helps when you pratically get "Hit by a tree' When you are running. XD.
Anyway so then the place was packed when we got there, and we, all five of us, ended up in a booth in the middle of the place. It was pretty loud in there, but of course we were defintely adding to it. It took forever to get our orders in, and then even longer to get our food, and splitting up the bill, haha yeah that was fun. Next time we decided, we are asking for seperate tabs. XD.
We actually meant to talk about the horse club, since for once all of us were there, but somehow we never quite remembered to talk about it. XD.
Fun day. lol.

Being "Boss"

-picture from summer '07

Being boss is very important when it comes to horses, and it's something that CONSTANTLY needs to be reminded. I haven't worked with Sheik for a while for various reasons inculding being cold, snowy, busy, etc. But today it was in the seventies and I went out and worked with him in the pasture. He started out being good, then decided he was boss and shouldn't have to do anything. Finally I reminded him that I was boss, and that he has to listen to me, and after that he was angel, being good just like he's supposed too.
Well that's horses for you. All in less then 32 hours

lol, yes, I have been two those states within the last 32 hours, and I am currently back in good old Oklahoma. Why?
Well my brother, as you all know, is in boot camp, but he got to come home for Christmas. But he was due back yesterday, and because his bus ride didn't sound like fun, and inculded a ten hour lay over in Memphis, my Dad drove him back, and I went along. The first day was pretty cool. I don't remember any of Alabama though, because I was watching Pirates Of The Caribbean three. Three hour movies are GREAT, when your on a thirteen hour drive. We ended up hitting some major rush hour traffic in Brigham, and we stopped for the night before Georgia. The next day we drove the last hour to Georgia. We got lost at the base, very lost, finally found out where we were supposed to go and dropped Eric off, after FINALLY figuring out where he was supposed to be. lol. Then me and Dad headed back home to Oklahoma. I ate way to much Mcdonalds over the last two days. lol. Mostly we listened to country radio the way home. It's kind of fun to see what people are listening to in Alabama, vs. Oklahoma. We hear a ton of Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts in Oklahoma, but in Alabama we heard a TON of Brad Paisely, Emerson Drive, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, and Sugarland. Kinda intersting. =)
We also heard songs like "I'm Gonna Miss Her" Which is pretty old, but we heard it like four times. lol.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://justanothergirlinthecountry.blogspot.com/2008/01/oklahoma-arkansas-tennesse-missispi.html' title='Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennesse, Missispi, Alabama, Georgia. I had a lot of fun and did a lot of new things. Hopefully next year will be even better. =)
But anyway here is what I did for the first time or acomplished this year.

Went to my first concert.

I won two tickets to see Switchfoot (My favorite band. XD ) from the pop station I don't listen to anymore (XD). Anyway my mom called in for me, and we ended up being the ninth caller and won the tickets! The concert was on March...26th. =) I had a blast.

Saddled Sheik For The First Time

Yep, I saddled my two year old for the first time. It was no easy task either, believe me. I spent a good month trying to get that saddle on him before he'd take it without spooking. Finally he realized it really wasn't going to kill him, and he wears it with no problem. He was also AMAZING about the cinch, didn't care a bit. In this pic he is wearing it all cinched up for the time.

Was In My First Horse Show.
My first show was the county fair, in September. I showed Sheik in showmanship, which wasn't really the best choice for a few show, for both me and my horse, but hey, it was good exprience.
I also showed my friend Rendi's horse, Sadie in Western pleasure. That's who I am riding in this picture.

Made Senior 4-H Hall Of Fame For My County

I'm the one in brown. lol.
One of my goals, well not a goal, but something I really wanted to do this year was win hall of fame, and to my surprise, I did!
Here I am with this year's Jr. winner and last years winners.

I Drove For The First Time.
I don't have a pic of this, but on Christmas eve I drove for the very first time. Just down my road, with my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew. XD.

There's a ton of other stuff though, inculding getting Brandy and showing in other shows, and a million other things I could go on about, but I'll spare you. XD.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year

It's that time of year again. Time for new years resolutions. Things that you normally don't keep anyway. lol. So I try to make mine things that I was basically planning on doing anyway. I feel like I have a lot to look forward to next year, a new 4-H year, which means record books today and the Food and Craft fair, livestock judging, and another county fair. XD.
And of course my show stuff. I have pretty much all my shows planned out for the year, the first one being in March, along with a clinic that month that I'm taking Brandy too.
I want to work harder at showing, spend more time riding and more time making sure Sheik is one hundred percent ready.
Thinking about it the other day, I realized I used to be more competive before we moved. I don't know I'm not very competive anymore. When I played soccer I used to be extremely competive. In some ways I feel like I loose so much that I get ready to loose, and that probably isn't helping my confidence a whole lot. So yes one of resolutions is to be more competive. Kinda crazy huh? But I think it'll give me the drive to work harder to win.
I also wanna be more active. Spend more time with my friends, do more then just hang around the house.
And get my learner's permit. Realstically chances of actually getting my lincse this coming year is silm, but I can defintely get my permit and get started driving.
I guess those are really my goals for this year.
Happy New Year. =)

Happy Holidays!!!

My 4-H Horse Club

My horse club is very busy these days. We started the club last year, in September, and we started out with about thirty members, not always the same members, but about that many every meeting. Now we have much less, because of softball and soccer and everything else.
We also have a show part of the club, which is me and three other girls.
The actual club went on a field trip to a horse motel last weekend. We are working on a thing called the "Progessive Horse Skills" And one of the projects was to visit a horse buiness, so that's what we did. We have 8 members, which isn't a bad turnout for us at the moment. We also found out that a neighboring club is coming our next meeting, on the eighteenth, so we will see how that turns out.
Our show club is also doing a lot too, even though it's winter. We want to build a trail class course, so we can pratice. So our leader went to the Hardware store, and asked if they'd donate something, and they ended up donating EVERYTHING. So we still have to pick it up, and then build it, but we should have a course to pratice on pretty soon!
Our club is also doing a model horse show. It's next month and we are mostly ready for it. We have people selling models, flyers, rules, a website, ribbons, a few prizes and we should have a judge soon.

These Days

So basically the last couple days have been pretty dull. On Monday the DirectTV installer was supposed to come and install Direct, instead of the Dish we have now, but he ended up showing up 5 hours later and we canceled, and decided to keep our Dish until after the Holidays at least.
We got a letter from my brother...yesterday I think. He said that he has to do twenty push ups for every letter he recives. I bet he'll be good shape when he gets home, in about ten days, give or take a few.
We haven't set up our Christmas tree yet, but we plan to do it this weekend. And I haven't finished my Christmas shopping yet. I have to get my brother's present, make my Dad's, finish my Mom's and figure out something to give my sister. So yep, that'll be pretty intersting. I basically have two presents done, and my Mom's started. I have to wait till my brother gets home before I can finish her's though, because I need his help and his computer to finish.
We do have an advent calender though. My Aunt Jaqui sends me and my brother one every year, and this year was no different. It's a church, with little scenes inside, of various animals doing things like setting up a Christmas tree. I'll try to remember to post a picture.

My Crazy Horses

So earlier this week, on Monday, Bella and Sheik got out of the pasture. One of our gates tends to open when it's really windy out. So that's what happened, and Bella and Sheik got out into the hay meadow behind their pasture. My Dad was working out there when they got out, and he couldn't catch them so he came in and got me and my mom.
So I grab my boots and Sheik's halter because of course he isn't wearing it. So I go out, and I figure I'll be able to catch him, right?
Wrong.
My silly little gelding had had his taste of freedom (And green grass), and wasn't about to give it up. I started to catch him, and he trotted off!
So we caught Bella, because she was wearing a halter, and put her back in with Brandy, who managed to not get out during all this.
And then I basically had to herd Sheik back to the other gate, and then finally I managed to catch and halter him, and I let him back into the pasture.
So for right now he has to wear his halter. If he'd gotten out on the road it would have been really bad. So yep.
So since his manners have gotten less then desirable lately, I've resumed our lessons, instead of letting him have December mostly off (No shows.)
He's done really well in his lessons. Just been doing show stuff. I need to bring my saddle out and start saddling him up again, so he doesn't forgot for when he's saddle trained this summer.
I've also been tying him at the end of the lesson and brushing him. And he's being doing REALLY well with the tying. I'd only tied him once or twice, and not for long, and he's been acting like an old pro at it.

Here he is modeling his Christmas present, a new halter.

Here is a close up of his halter. He's at boot camp. He's in the National guard and he left last...Wenesday. We'd gotten a letter from him earlier this week but this was the first time he'd gotten to call since then. I only talked to him for a few minutes but he sounded pretty good. He was just getting ready to actually go to his new company (He's just been in processings all week) And he sounded a little freaked out about that, but I think he'll be fine. He comes home in about five weeks though, for two weeks for Christmas, so he won't be gone all that long.
Speaking of Christmas I did a little Christmas shopping yesterday, for my niece and brother in law. My sister and her family are coming for Christmas too, which is will be pretty awesome! We'll only be missing my other sister.

Finally!

So since I've started listening to country music not only have *I* found a lot of songs I like, so has my mom! So I decided for Christmas I'd make her a cd of all her favorite songs. A lot of them I already myself, but a few of them I'll have to buy off a music site.
I'm excited that I finally thought of somethings

Speaking of cds,

This one is my favorite CD EVER. I got it for my birthday from my brother, and I've listened to it a ton. I love, love, love it! All the songs are amazing (Especially Laughed Until We Cried) I have Jason Aldean's first cd and I think that one is great too, but this one is soo good! And I've heard that Jason Aldean is having another cd come out next year! We went last year too, but since this year we've started showing I think we had a little more fun. We went to out to lunch then spent a while shopping and looking at all the amazing (And expensive!) Show stuff! We ended up getting a few things, nothing big though. I got a new purple lead rope, some clear hoofpolish that I've been looking for for quite a while, whisker shaver, and a water scraper to help dry Sheik off quicker after a bath. After we finished walking through the shopping we went and looked through the barns at the horses. We saw Bob Avalia (He's a trainer) barn row, which was cool. He had some really friendly horses too. We have our new kittens, and this morning when I groomed him, I found out that sometime during the night he managed (How I have NO idea) to get him self all cut up. He has a resoably bad scrape on his leg, and a ton of other little cuts around it. His eye is also a little swollen, and I'm guessing he got bit by a bug. Poor Baby. =)
I also made a banner for one of my cats that ran away. I had him for a year and then one morning he didn't show up to eat. I live out more or less in the middle of no where on fourty acres on a "Hobby farm." We have four horses (My loves. =) ) 13 goats, a ton of cats, 6 dogs, 1 goose, 1 duck, and a bunch of chickens and gunieas.
Horses are my love in life, but also love photography, drawing, country music, graphic design, soccer, 4-h, vetirinary medcine, and pretty much all animals and mysteries.
I have a beautiful 2 year old paint horse, named Sheik that I am training, which you can read about in my other blog (www.shesahorsegirl.blogspot.com) I also have a 21 year old qh mare named Easter, who I've had for two and a half years. She is/was my first horse, and she's awesome. And then we have Tango, a 9 year old grade horse, and Bella, a yearling filly who is Sheik's half sister and is sometimes evil. =)
So that's me. =)
Kat
